Organic Cotton Percale Sheet Set

Ripped in half after 2.5 years of use
My partner and I purchased these sheets after buying (and loving) a Bare Home cotton percale duvet cover. When they arrived, they were thinner than expected but still felt nice and cool. We've used them for 2.5 years and have followed the care instructions, only washing in cold water and air drying or tumble drying on no heat, and never using fabric softener. About two weeks ago, the top hem of the flat sheet detached, which was disappointing. And then this morning, we woke up and the fitted sheet had completely ripped down the middle underneath us while we slept. We were so disappointed! We had considered these sheets an "investment" while trying to be more sustainable, and also trying to support a US-based company.

I reached out to customer service with my concerns, but they blamed us for not following the care instructions and said they could not issue a refund. The case has been "escalated" but I doubt anything will come of it. Just so disappointed that our attempt to invest in a sustainable option has ended up with us having to buy a new set after 2.5 years -- It would have been better to buy a set of secondhand sheets that were at least good quality.

So far, I can say I'm thrilled with the quality. I received these as a gift and was excited because I had wanted a set. I appreciate the low waste packaging, however upon washing and placing the sheets I noticed they're very paper like in feel and hold wrinkles VERY well. The pillow cases leave a lot to be desired. They are too small for our standard pillows and one also has a large imperfection running down it that makes it look like it's worn and fraying. For what these cost, I expected much better quality.

I love these percale sheets in cream color however, there is no matching duvet cover set. I bought two sheet sets and sewed the two flat sheets together to make a duvet cover. With the left-over fabric I sewed a neck roll, stuffed it with wool, and sewed a pillow case for it. The Indian batik is from SaffronMarigold ; )

Love these sheets, so comfy and crisp, the only thing is they smell awful, after first wash perfectly fine.. like how well they were packed in their little reusable tote bag, went back thru the other colors and bought a second set, loved that there was a promo for the discount on both sets. I have my eye on one more set…

beautiful, soft and comfy

I am very pleased with these sheets. Though they are a little thinner than I would prefer, and not quite as cool to the touch as some others, they are a high quality percale weave, with beautiful colors, and they wash well with practically no wrinkles. And--unlike others I've tried--the envelope pillowcases are minimally awkward to put on/take off.

These sheets are wonderful. Well made, washed well, and crisp and cool to the touch. I have bought sooo many sheets only to be disappointed. I loved these!

The only reason these wonderful sheets got 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are a bit oversized for our queen mattress. I struggled to try to secure the fitted sheet without wrinkles all over the place.
I just washed them in hot water instead of cool and have them in a high heat dryer. Hopefully they will shrink just enough to fit well.

I bought one set of sheets for Guest sheets and I liked them so much that I replaced my current sheets.

I purchased the Full XL size for my son. The material is soft and comfortable to the touch. Since he’s a hot sleeper, it’s perfect for warm California nights. He stays comfortable without getting too hot.

Scratchy, even after washing twice. I'm hoping these soften up after use, but at this price point, I'd expect after one wash that they'd be soft enough to be comfortable - they are not. I do not recommend. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

5 STAR SHEETS. Absolutely love my new set of sheets. They are cooling throughout the night, and soften with each wash. So glad I swapped my old sheets for these.

What can I say – I love these sheets! I've had plenty of organic sheets in the past, but these are the best ones by far. One thing I appreciate about them is that they are generous on the sides. That way, I don't have to fight for the sheet. I will definitely be buying more.

They had quite a strange smell upon arrival had to wash them twice but ever since ive used them for weeks now and like them better than cheapo sheets from Walmart

My new organic cotton percale sheers in light grey are so soft, pretty and comfortable. Great to sleep with toxic sheets. Have jersey sheets, and flannel and they are all great!

We are still getting them worn in. But we are enjoying them. Plus they really took care of us when our order got messed up. They really worked hard to make it right, great customer service!!

Worst sheets I have ever owned. I have washed them multiple times. They are so hot and itchy.

Origionally purchased a comforter, loved it so then I bought flannel sheets, again loved them. Have been looking for good quality percale sheets and based upon the quality of my 2 previous Bare bedding purchases I orded these percale sheets. I did wash them before using, despite immediately removing them from the dryer they were extremely wrinkled. Once I put them on my bed they were good and they are very comfortable. I definately will check Bare for any future bedding needs. Happy with all 3 of their products.

This is my first purchase of the Bare sheets and they are great addition to my collection, sheets are cooling soft to the touch.
