Not sure the bags the pillow cases come in is really needed. It's better then wrapping them in plastic I guess, but I felt like I needed to keep them for some reason. I did end up throwing them away - or I should say, my wife did :)
I washed the cases before using them. It's probably because of the material, but I had to run a dust roller over all of them to get the junk that was on them out of the dryer.

I'm sorry it came with an environmentally unwise and unnecessary red flannel bag which I have no use for so must "recycle" although I can't imagine anyone else "needing" this bag.
I've bought these pillow cases twice and they are excellent and soft.
I love these pillow cases. My only complaint is they get very wrinkly in the dryer. If you have the time to iron them, they're perfect.
The quality was not as good and other times I ordered the same product. It was very thin.

Be sure to wash the red pillowcases with like colors, as the red ""runs"". I now have pinkish blotches on my white pillow cases. It's no problem-in time that will fade--my fault for washing those colors together. Duh me! I'm still happy with my purchase.
